Holmegaard Tivoli Copenhagen sherry glass, 1968, Per Lütken, signed HG(K)

Sherry glass from Holmegaard, Tivoli Copenhagen series, signed HG(K), mouth-blown and presumably the first of this type of glass, produced in 1968, designed by Per Lütken.

The glass is signed HG on the bottom (possibly HGK / HG3), which likely indicates an early edition, HGK – Holmegaard Glasværk – Kastrup Glasværk, and is an internal trial or model glass, as the series is usually unsigned. The shape, proportions, and weight point to an early specimen, likely among the first glasses produced before actual mass production. A collector's piece of Danish glass design. This specific type of glass with these dimensions is referred to at Hardernet as a trial glass, as the sherry glass is usually not signed.
Therefore, we assess that this glass is part of the trial production, likely from 1968, when Kastrup Glasværk had merged with Holmegaard. Information is found in notes at Hardernet regarding Holmegaard's ship glasses and sherry glasses.
