Authentic Kalaallit art in the form of a Greenlandic soapstone figure depicting a grouse (ptarmigan), hand-carved and signed on the bottom "T.J. / Nuuk". The figure was made by Therkild Josefsen, who for a period lived and worked in Kapisillit, which explains variations in his signatures. A classic example of Greenlandic/Kalaallit idiom with beautiful, natural patina and a calm, timeless expression. A collector's item.
Good vintage condition with normal age-related wear and patina. No cracks or repairs.
