The motif was very popular around 1900 and was often reproduced in contemporary studio photographs, which explains why it is seen in several variations.
The photograph is immediately assessed to date from the period approx. 1895–1925 and is mounted behind glass in an original gilded wooden frame. The frame is made in traditional framing technique which, according to information from museums, was used from the late 19th century and early 20th century, including a sealed back, wooden frame with inlaid transverse wedges and a gilded wooden frame or a wooden frame with ex-bronzed gilding. The suspension is with a flat nail pin. The surface of the wooden frame has natural patina and cracking, which is characteristic of its age.

The photo has something on the black surface of the passepartout that looks like it's peeling or a little dirty.
The frame has wear in a few places.
