Norwegian floating weights / fishing balls in hollow-blown glass with hand-woven net. Originally used in fishing as floating nets, today a decorative maritime object with an authentic expression and clear coastal history. From the beginning of the 20th century.
The glass balls are hollow and made of mouth-blown glass, in green and amber glass, enclosed in traditional hand-woven net in natural fiber with suspension. The net has been washed, but still has the beautiful maritime patina.
The natural patina in both glass and mesh gives an honest and timeless expression that fits beautifully in a summer house, bathroom, conservatory or maritime interior design. Can be used alone or combined with several together.
Diameter approx. 12–14 cm. Suspension length varies.
Good vintage condition with age-related patina. The mesh is intact with light wear. The glass appears uncracked and is intact.
