Aluminia Trankebar mustard bowl with fixed saucer

Small mustard bowl from the Trankebar set produced by Aluminia in Denmark. The bowl is faience and is made in the characteristic two-tone glaze in warm earth tones that characterizes the series.

The bowl and saucer are made in one piece. The model was originally produced with a lid, but this example is sold without a lid. The small size makes it suitable for mustard, salt, spices or small servings.

Stand

Fine vintage condition. There is a small tab on the saucer/plate. The upper part has a slightly different shade of glaze than the lower part, which is seen on several examples from the series. The glaze has a normal patina with cracking which is normal for age.
