Beautiful and detailed antique porcelain figurine from the renowned German porcelain manufactory Von Schierholz, Plauen, probably manufactured around 1885–1900, judging by the logo.
The figure depicts an angel (putto) in classic Rococo style, wearing blue drapery and surrounded by hand-modeled flowers. Made of glazed porcelain with fine colors and gilded details - a true piece of European porcelain art from the late 19th century.
Stamped under the base with Von Schierholz' early mark: crown over shield with three oak leaves – without the text “Germany”, which confirms that it was produced before the export marking requirement around 1891. Also stamped with model number 737 and size code 3.
Height: Approximately 19 cm
Material: Hand-painted and glazed porcelain
Condition: Excellent antique condition – no chips, cracks or repairs
Note: The figurine is not a candlestick, although the top may resemble a holder. The decorative top is clearly an original part of the design – a typical feature of 19th century porcelain figurines, also seen elsewhere. The figurine is complete and original.
A rare and charming figurine - perfect for collectors of antique German porcelain or as a decorative feature in a romantic or classic interior.
