Beautiful and detailed antique porcelain figurine from the renowned German porcelain manufactory Von Schierholz, Plauen, probably produced around 1885–1900, judging by the logo.
The figurine depicts an angel (putto) in classic Rococo style, wearing blue drapery and surrounded by hand-modeled flowers. Crafted in glazed porcelain with fine colors and gilded details – a true piece of European porcelain art from the late 19th century.
Stamped on the bottom with Von Schierholz’s early mark: a crown over a shield with three oak leaves – without the text "Germany," which confirms that it was produced before the export marking requirement around 1891. Additionally embossed with model number 737 and size code 3.
Height: Approx. 19 cm
Material: Hand-painted and glazed porcelain
Condition: Excellent antique condition – no chips, cracks, or repairs
Note: The figurine is not a candlestick, even though the top may resemble a holder. The decorative finial is immediately an original part of the design – a typical feature of 19th-century porcelain figurines, also seen in other sales venues. The figurine is complete and original.
