Erik Höglund paperweight/brevpresse in clear glass with a robot motif from Boda Glasbruk (today Kosta Boda), Sweden.

Moulded in a square shape with the motif pressed into the warm glass – a technique that creates the characteristic relief motif that Höglund became world-famous for.

Can be used as a paperweight, jewellery dish, or decorative collector's item.
Perfect for design enthusiasts with an appreciation for Scandinavian mid-century art glass.

Erik Höglund (1932–1998) revolutionised Swedish glass art with his raw, naive style, inspired by folk art and primitive expressions. He worked at Boda Glasbruk from 1953 to 1973 and received the Lunning Prize in 1957 as the youngest ever. His works are exhibited at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, Blekinge Museum, and the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York.
