Ceiling lamps by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Markaryd, Sweden, 1960s.
A beautiful pair of pendants in white lacquered metal with a characteristic perforated light ring and a closed top with an internal perforated disc, which ensures soft and glare-free light.
Proportions, perforation pattern, and construction are typical of known Markaryd models from the period. The label has not been preserved, which is common for this type of lamp.
Dimensions: diameter (widest point) approx. 14 cm. Opening diameter approx. 10 cm. Height approx. 15–16 cm.
Condition: Good vintage condition with normal age-related signs of wear and some minor scratches on the white lacquer. See photos. Sockets appear functional but with rust. Minor internal patina as expected for their age.
The lamps have not been function-tested.
A classic mid-century Nordic design, suitable above a kitchen counter, dining area, or as atmospheric lighting in a modern interior.
