Sherry glass from Holmegaard, Tivoli Copenhagen series, signed. HG(K) hand-blown and probably the first glasses of this type, produced in 1968, designed by Per Lütken.
The glass is signed HG on the bottom (possibly HGK / HG3), which probably indicates an early edition, HGK - Holmegaard Glassworks - Kastrup Glassworks, and an internal sample or model glass, as the series is normally unsigned. The form, proportions, and weight point to an early specimen, likely among the first manufactured glasses before actual mass production. A collector-relevant piece of Danish glass design. This specific type of glass with these dimensions is referred to by Hardernet as a sample glass, as sherry glasses are normally not signed.
Therefore, we immediately assess that this glass is part of the trial production, probably from 1968, when Kastrup Glassworks had merged with Holmegaard. Information is available in notes at Hardernet, regarding information on Holmegaard's ship glasses, sherry glasses.
