Vintage, probably Spanish pottery with strong relief and copper green glaze

Characterful handmade ceramic jar/vase made of red-fired earthenware with distinctive plastic decoration. The shape is inspired by medieval and archaic design with a thick, corrugated bottom, incised decoration and hand-shaped handle.

The copper-green verdigris glaze gives a patinated, almost bronze-like appearance. A distinctive piece of studio pottery with a sculptural character, suitable as a decorative object.

Terracotta with copper-green patina glaze, in the style of southern European studio ceramics from the mid-20th century.

Probably Spanish/Portuguese.

Condition:

Good, beautiful vintage condition with natural patina. Small chips in a few places, but not overtly visible in the basic shape. No cracks or continuous damage.
