Antique faience bowl with knob handle from the mid-1800s, Victorian.
Assessed to be England/USA. The bowl appears to have both printed decoration and subsequent hand-colored details.
The motif shows a romantic hunting and landscape scene executed in classic late Victorian style. The varying dots, lines, and color fields attest to handcraftsmanship and provide a lively, hand-painted look, characteristic of the period. Appears as an authentic piece of antique ceramic, with crazing typical due to age.
