Solingen stainless butter knives no. 56 – set of 5

Set of 5 classic butter knives from Solingen, Germany, stamped “Solingen Rustfri No. 56”. Made of stainless steel with beautiful brown handles in natural color variation.

The knives date from the mid-20th century, approximately 1955–1965, and represent solid German craftsmanship. Solingen is internationally known for quality knives, and model no. 56 is the factory's internal model designation for this shape and handle type.

The handles are probably Bakelite with warm shades from light honey to darker brown. The blades are slightly curved and suitable as classic dinner knives for everyday use or as a complement to a retro cutlery set.

In nice vintage condition with normal wear and surface scratches on the blades consistent with age and use. No loose handles.
